About Us

Michael Neylon established the Accounting Services business, Michael Neylon & Co., in 1998. The business focuses on the specific financial needs of individuals and companies and has particular expertise in assisting new entities get off the ground, cope with the demands of rapid growth and manage cash flow. Michael currently works with businesses predominantly based in the Clare/Limerick/Galway region.

A graduate of Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology and University of Limerick holding an hounours degree in accounting and business studies (H&C), he is a registered tax advisor/agent with the Revenue Commissioners and also holds an honours graduate diploma in business education.

Before setting up his accounting services business, Michael worked as assistant accountant in Sydney with Australian technology company, Zoom Systems Inc, and worked in Boston, USA with the finance department of the Marriott International Hotel Group as well accounting practices in Ireland. He has also built up considerable experience in the field of Business Education through his role as accounting and business teacher, firstly in Scoil Mhuire, Clane, Co. Kildare and more recently in St Joseph’s Secondary School, Spanish Point, Co. Clare. In all he has over twenty five years experience in the accounting and business sector.

Since setting up Michael Neylon & Co., Michael has acted as accountant and mentor to a wide range of businesses, both start ups and well established entities. His client base includes public bodies, charities, voluntary organizations, sole traders, partnerships and companies from various sectors including retail, childcare, manufacturing, horticulture, construction, catering, the motor industry, and a host of professional services. As a registered Revenue tax advisor, Michael uses the ROS on line service to facilitate prompt and efficient filing of tax returns on behalf of clients.
